Representing intelligence and technology, these wings are shown taking everlasting global flight. The blue color symbolizes eternity, excellence, and profound intelligence, while the orange color embodies the enthusiasm, dynamic vigor, and passion that are inherently found in technology.
The Kawasaki Monodukuri Brand Program identifies products and technologies manufactured by small to medium-sized enterprises in Kawasaki that are certified by the Kawasaki Monodukuri Brand Council as products and technologies that are superior in terms of originality, innovativeness, quality-control measures, sales performance, future potential, and contribution to society.
Various products and technologies have been certified to date from industrial products and processing techniques that provide a direct boost to manufacturing to consumer products that harness unique designs and ideas.
The Kawasaki Monodukuri Brand Promotion Council was established primarily by the city of Kawasaki and the Kawasaki Chamber of Commerce and Industry in order to communicate the superiority of products and technologies offered by small to medium-sized enterprises within the city and their exceptional potential to interested parties both inside and outside the city and thereby contribute to the competitiveness of the manufacturing sector in Kawasaki.
Led by the president of the Kawasaki Chamber of Commerce and Industry as the Chairperson of this council and the mayor of Kawasaki City as a special adviser, the council has brought together industrial support organizations, financial institutions, trade associations, experienced scholars, well-informed persons, and experts to carry out its activities, such as the cultivation of sales channels for certified products and technologies through a brand-certification program, public relations and media outlets, and participation in exhibitions.

The Kawasaki Monodukuri Brand Promotion Council was established primarily by the city of Kawasaki and the Kawasaki Chamber of Commerce & Industry in order to communicate the superiority of products and technologies offered by small to medium-sized enterprises within the city and their exceptional potential to interested parties both inside and outside the city and thereby contributing to the competitiveness of the manufacturing sector in Kawasaki.
In Japan’s manufacturing industry, technology innovation is significantly advancing, and the concept of “Monodukuri (manufacturing)” is also changing. AI (Artificial Intelligence) and IoT (Internet of Things) have been developed with the arrival of the 4th industrial revolution, resulting in changes in manufacturing processes and product/quality controls. From now on, the fusion of manufacturing and IoT will further promote collaborations between different industries, including medical care, nursing care, disaster prevention, and agriculture.
These certified products are expected to lead to new ideas and collaborations, which will create further certified products suited for the new era.
On the other hand, Kawasaki, the city of Monodukuri (manufacturing) still has many more master craftsmanship which have supported manufacturing for many years, as well as products developed through such craftsmanship, and therefore we continuously work diligently to excavate them in cooperation with related organizations.
The Kawasaki Monodukuri Brand Promotion Council will make the best efforts to support truly superior products and technologies developed in Kawasaki, by certifying them as the Kawasaki Monodukuri Brand, so that they can spread to improve many people’s lives and develop economic activities around the world.

The Kawasaki Monodukuri Brand Program, which started in 2004, certifies superior products and technologies manufactured by small to medium-sized enterprises within the city, and provides those enterprises with support by sharing information of the manufacturing prowess of this city to interested parties both in Japan and overseas.
Various products and technologies have been certified from diversified fields. They include advanced industrial products, processing technologies, safe and secure products required for civilian life in the aging society with increasing awareness towards the environment and disaster prevention, and promising products in the IoT society. It means that new products and technologies have been developed in quick response to social issues in the modern society with advanced technological innovations. In other words, it shows the high manufacturing abilities of small and medium-sized enterprizes in Kawasaki.
